대한민국 농업 대표단 이스라엘 방문

A presidential agricultural delegation from South Korea led by Mr. Lee Sangkil, president of the Korea Institute of Planning & Evaluation for Technology in Food, Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries ("IPET"), visited Israel from September 3rd to September 8th, 2016, in order to learn about Israel's smart farming technology and explore for new opportunities and collaboration between the countries.
한국의 농림수산식품기술기획평가원 (이하 “농기평”)의 이상길 원장이 이끄는 대표단은 2016년 9월 3일부터 9월 8일까지 이스라엘의 “스마트 팜 (Smart- Farm)기술” 분야에 대해 알아보고 양국간의 새로운 협력 기회를 모색하기 위해 이스라엘을 방문했습니다.

MiRobot – miRobot is a startup developing next-generation robotic milking systems for cost-effective, high-performance automatic milking in medium and large dairy farms (from 200 to more than 3000 cows). Designed as an add-on to conventional milking parlor equipment, miRobot’s system comprises fully automatic, state-of-the-art robotic arms installed in each milking stall. The robotic arms perform cleaning, stimulating, attaching the milking cluster, and post-milking routines to enable a milking procedures that are uniform, reliable, and of the highest quality.

The IPET members also visited the Israeli Agriculture Research Organization ("ARO"), the Volcani Center in Rechovot and met with – Mr. Sheenan Harpaz, Prof., Deputy Director for R&D and Director of Far East Affairs who showed the delegation some of the advanced technology developed in ARO. They also me with Mr. Abraham Arbel, Ph.D, Researcher at Agricultural Engineering unit and Mr. Jacob Mualem from Kidum, the R&D Applications and Technology Transfer unit who explained about the commercialization of agriculture technology in Israel.
농기평 관계자들은 또한 르호봇(Rechovot)에 위치한 이스라엘 농업 연구청 (Israeli Agriculture Research Organization -ARO), 볼카니 센터를 방문하여 연구개발팀 부소장이자 극동 지역팀 책임자인 Mr. Sheenan Harpaz 교수를 만났고, Harpaz 교수는 농기평 관계자들에게 ARO에서 개발한 몇 가지 첨단 기술을 소개했습니다. 또한, 농업 공학 부서의 Abraham Arbel 박사님 (Abraham Arbel, Ph.D, Researcher at Agricultural Engineering unit )과 ARO기술사업화를 담당하는 키둠 (Kidum)의 Jacob Mualem 연구원으로부터 이스라엘에서 농업 기술의 상업화는 어떻게 이루어지는지에 대해 설명을 들었습니다.
In order to learn how new agriculture startups developed, the delegation traveled to Misgav industrial area to visit Agtech incubator at Trendlines Group and met with Mr. Steve Rhodes the Chairman and CEO.
농기평 관계자들은 이스라엘의 농업 스타트업들이 어떻게 성장 및 개발되는지에 대한 노하우를 알아보기 위해 Misgav 산업 단지로 이동하여 Trendlines Group 의 Agtech 인큐베이터를 방문하였고 CEO인 Steve Rhodes 회장을 만났습니다.
The Korean delegation were impressed how local Israeli farmers adopt new technologies and despite the high labor cost in this sector, Israeli farmers and agriculture companies not only make profit but also export their products and technologies to many countries in different continents.
IPET (http://www.ipet.re.kr) is a Korean government agency which established in 2009 in order to ensure the efficient planning, management, and evaluation of projects and research in the fields of food, agriculture, forestry and fisheries. IPET operate under direct supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and manage annual budget of about 200 millions dollar to support R&D projects in agriculture.

농기평 관계자들은 이스라엘 농업종사자들이 새로운 기술을 어떻게 도입하고 적용하는지와 농업 분야 높은 인건비에도 불구하고 농업회사들은 이익을 창출할 뿐 아니라 수확품과 기술을 해외 많은 나라들로 수출하고 있다는 점에 대해 강한 인상을 받았습니다.
농림수산식품기술기획평가원은 농림수산식품연구개발사업의 기획, 관리, 평가등을 효율적으로 지원하기 위하여 2009년에 설립된 공공기관이며, 정부 연구•개발(R&D) 예산을 통해 농식품 분야 연구자들에게 매년 약 1900억 원의 연구•개발(R&D) 자금을 지원하고 있습니다.
이번 이스라엘 방문은 한국-이스라엘 기업 전문 비즈니스 컨설팅 업체인 ㈜코이스라의 공동설립자이자 이스라엘 파트너인 Mr. Eyal Victor Mamou (에얄빅터마모)에 주도로 기획 및 진행되었습니다.
